WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE?
Congratulations go out to our Senior Site Manager, Lewis Digby and also our Project Manager, Carl Haskell, who have both been recognised for their exceptional standards and hard work at their developments with the coveted National House Building Council (NHBC) award. Lewis has previously won the same award for his work on a previous development in Bramley, but has been awarded this year’s prize for his work at Coombelands Gardens, in Addlestone. Carl has been awarded the accolade for 3 years running which is fantastic for his development at Buckton Fields in Northampton.
The NHBC’s Pride in the Job Quality Awards are the most highly regarded competition in the housebuilding industry and have been rewarding excellence for over four decades. The awards recognise and reward the best run building sites in the country and are one of the highest accolades a Site Manager can achieve.
Lewis comments: “I’m very pleased to have been given this award. This is my second award win now, and it’s not just a great achievement for Martin Grant Homes but also for myself to showcase the quality of work produced by the whole team on site. I’ve definitely got my fingers crossed that we can succeed in the next stage of the competition.”
Competing against over 10,000 entrants, the guys are one of only 450 recognised for their dedication to building homes of an outstanding standard. In addition to spot checks from the NHBC, Site Managers are judged on their consistency, attention to detail, leadership, technical expertise, and health and safety.
Carl comments: “Being recognised for what myself and the team does at Buckton Fields means a lot. We have worked hard over the years to build homes of a high-standard and to achieve the NHBC Pride in the Job Award for the third year running shows that we have done just that.”
Finally, Chris Hamilton our Managing Director adds: “The Pride in the Job Award recognises the hugely important role that Site Managers play on a development. It is a significant achievement for Carl & Lewis, one we are very proud of them for. We also appreciate the high standard of work that was put in by the rest of the site team at both Coombelands Gardens and Buckton Fields to achieve this award win.”
