Overview
The Martin Grant Group of Companies are established developers
building quality houses throughout the Home Counties. Our
objective is to create environmentally sensitive and sustainable
developments providing a sense of place and community spirit, using
sound best practice principles.
As a quality house builder we recognise our responsibilities to
our customers and the wider community. We are committed to
designing homes in association with planners and industry bodies
that are energy efficient, incorporating environmental performance
schemes such as BRE EcoHomes and the 'Code for Sustainable Homes',
assessing energy efficiency, transport, materials, recycling,
ecology, water efficient appliances/conservation, pollution, health
and well-being. We are also employing renewable energy
technology to reduce consumption of fossil fuels and carbon dioxide
emissions.
In conjunction with this, we ensure our developments recognise
the natural environment and its landscape setting. We strive
to protect, preserve and enhance the natural site features and work
closely with the Environment Agency, Natural England and local
wildlife groups, to deal with protected flora and fauna, seeking to
enhance landscape/habitat and to encourage and increase
biodiversity.
During our construction process we seek to protect the
environment in which we work and are committed to reducing
waste. A proportion of development is on formerly used land,
or brownfield sites. These developments make a more efficient
use of land, quite often cleaning up urban decay and remediating
contaminated land.
